Mumbai Indians‘ ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah may miss early IPL 2025 games. He suffered a lower back injury during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy final and was ruled out of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. No official medical update from BCCI yet.
Bumrah is undergoing rehab at BCCI’s CoE, Bengaluru, and may miss the first one or two weeks of IPL 2025, as per TOI.
A BCCI source stated that Bumrah’s medical reports are fine, and he has resumed bowling at the CoE. However, he is unlikely to bowl at the start of the IPL, with early April being a more realistic return for high-intensity cricket.
The medical team will gradually increase Bumrah’s workload. He will only be cleared once he can bowl at full intensity without discomfort for several days, the source added.
