Sachin Tendulkar retired over a decade ago but still gives his best. In the International Masters League 2025 opener, he and Rayudu Rayudu had a small collision while catching Sri Lanka’s Ashan Priyanjan.

In the 13th over, Priyanjan tried to hit Vinay Kumar but got a top edge. The ball went high, and both Rayudu and Tendulkar ran for the catch. Tendulkar was well-placed, while Rayudu had to cover ground. Their shoulders collided, but neither was hurt, and no concussion test was needed.

Even after the collision, Tendulkar took the catch easily. Rayudu fell on his back, but Tendulkar smiled and helped him up. Priyanjan got out after scoring 17 runs from 11 balls.

India Masters secured a thrilling win, beating Sri Lanka Masters by 4 runs in a close contest.

Sri Lanka Masters captain Kumar Sangakkara won the toss and chose to bowl first at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai. Tendulkar and Rayudu struggled with the bat. Rayudu fell to Suranga Lakmal after scoring 5 runs from 5 balls, while Tendulkar was bowled by Lakmal for 10 in the fourth over.

Gurkeerat Singh scored 44 off 32 balls, while Stuart Binny smashed 68 off 31. Yuvraj Singh and Yusuf Pathan then powered India Masters to 222/4. Yuvraj played a quick 31-run cameo off 22 balls, hitting two fours and two sixes. Yusuf was even more explosive, scoring 56 off 22 balls with three fours and six sixes.

Sri Lanka Masters kept the chase alive until the final ball. They needed six runs off the last delivery, but India Masters held their nerve and won the match by four runs.
